Gabbeh is a carpet that is usually woven in small size by Lor and Qashqai tribes. Gabbeh has long feathers that have a significant effect on Gabbeh’s softness. Weavers were often inspired by the environment and nature and applied their mental designs on Gabbeh. Because the weaver produced it for his personal needs and consumption, he used his mental ideas in its weaving and sometimes displayed his wishes on Gabbeh. Such as the role of the tent, which may mean having a fixed shelter, or the role of the human being as a family, and other roles, each with its own symbol. Gabbeh is an original handicraft and the motifs used in its texture distinguish it from other handicrafts. Most of Gabbeh’s designs were inspired by the nature around the weavers and based on their mentality.
